A Special Kind Of Love

There is a difference between being seen and being understood.
Most people see the things we choose to show them. They see our work, our accomplishments, our smile, our stories, and the version of ourselves that moves through the world each day.
Understanding is something else entirely.
Understanding happens when someone notices the thoughts you never quite finish out loud. When they hear the meaning hidden beneath the words.
When they recognize the feeling behind the joke, the silence behind the smile, or the question hidden inside a simple conversation. It is a rare thing. I have met many people in my life. I have shared coffee, conversations, laughter, adventures, and countless hours with wonderful friends.
Yet every now and then, someone arrives who seems to look just a little deeper.
Someone who somehow finds the places you rarely show. He is one of those people. I don't know exactly when it happened. Perhaps it was hidden somewhere in a hundred conversations. Perhaps it appeared quietly between messages, songs, laughter, and the ordinary moments that never seem important at the time.
One day I simply realized that he understood things about me that I had never fully explained. He understands my curiosity.
The endless questions. The need to keep learning. The way my mind wanders through ideas, stories, and possibilities.
He understands the strength people often see in me, but also the vulnerability that lives underneath it. Most of all, he understands something that is difficult to put into words.
He understands my heart.
Not because I handed it to him. Not because I explained every corner of it.
Somehow he simply found his way there. He sees me…. The woman who is still learning, still growing, still wondering.
Being loved is beautiful.
Being understood feels like coming home.
Being seen is a very special kind of love. ❤️
